Jim Doolittle, Ph.D.

Dr. Jim Doolittle is the Director of SC EPSCoR. He previously served as the Associate Vice President for Research and Sponsored Programs at South Dakota State University. He previously served as the Director of the North-Central Sun Grant Center at South Dakota State University where he implemented and administered a $57 million program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Department of Transportation, Department of Energy, and the Department of Defense. Dr. Doolittle also served as the Associate Director of the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station where he managed four grants to include the Four-State Ruminant Consortium, South Dakota Seed Tech Laboratory, Michigan Biotechnology Institute, and the Sun Grant Initiative. He was a tenured Professor in the Agronomy, Horticulture, and Plant Science Department at South Dakota State University. Dr. Doolittle has a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy/Crops and Soils from Purdue University and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Soil Science from Texas A&M University.
